Yes. We design and rekey master-key hierarchies so staff hold keys to their own areas while a manager or owner holds a master that opens everything. It keeps access organized and easy to control.

Do we need to rekey when an employee leaves?

It's strongly recommended, especially for staff who held keys to sensitive areas. Rekeying the affected doors ensures a former employee's key no longer works, without replacing hardware.

Can you rekey without disrupting our business hours?

Yes. We work around your schedule and arrive with stocked service vans to rekey on-site, keeping downtime to a minimum. For larger facilities we can plan the work in phases.

How much does commercial rekeying cost?

We look at each lock first and tell you which ones can be rekeyed and which can share one key.

How the price is worked out

How many cylinders: Each keyed lock counts as one. A door with a knob and a deadbolt is two.
Lock brands: Locks of the same brand and keyway can usually share one key. A different keyway may need a matching cylinder.
Keys: 2 keys are included. More copies cost extra.
Visit charge: $49 service call, waived when you go ahead with the work.
Worn or damaged locks: If a lock should be repaired or replaced instead, we tell you. It is always your choice.

Can all my locks use one key? Locks of the same brand and keyway can, for example Kwikset with Kwikset or Schlage with Schlage. A lock with a different keyway may need a matching cylinder first. Tell us the brands when you call, and we will say which locks can share a key.
